Anyone who owns a pair of white shoes knows the struggle of maintaining its cleanliness and white color. Keeping it from any dirt or at worst mud, standard brushing just won’t work on white shoes, not unless you have a cleaning paste to use. There are a lot of tutorials, methods, and solutions online, but it’s quite difficult to choose the most effective technique that would actually work. I’ve tried countless tricks and hacks but this cleaning hack by Hacked Life RP on YouTube might be one of my favorite methods. Not only is it very simple and quick, but it also requires only 2 ingredients. This hack is practical, quick, and most important of all, is that it’s effective! If you have a pair of white shoes, then you might as well try this tutorial too.

Materials:

  • An old toothbrush
  • 6 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide
  • A scrub

Directions:

Step 1

First off, get a small container, cup, or bowl, then add about 6 tablespoons of baking soda and 3 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide. Grab an old toothbrush and use it to mix the ingredients together until well combined and it turns into a paste-like consistency. Using the same toothbrush, apply the paste mixture to the shoes.

Step 2

Scrub it lightly as you apply, but no need to use much pressure and you also don’t need to scrub it too hard as they will get white eventually as they dry. Without rinsing the shoes, put them outdoors to dry in the sun for about 2 to 3 hours. After drying, remove the dried powder stuck on the shoes by scrubbing it off with a dry brush.
