Materials for Cleaning Stainless Steel:

  • Dish soap
  • Water
  • Spray bottle
  • Flatweave microfiber cloth
  • Paper towel
  • Vinegar
  • Mineral oil
  • Baking soda
  • Bar Keeper’s friend

How to Clean Stainless Steel:

Step 1

Make your soapy water mixture in a spray bottle, simply add half a teaspoon of dish soap, fill the rest with water, and give them a good shake to combine. Spray it on the stainless steel and wipe it clean with a microfiber cloth in an “S” pattern.

Step 2

To deal with daily watermarks on your appliances, coat a paper towel with some vinegar, then apply it straight onto the surface as shown in the video, and let it sit for a few minutes before spraying it with soapy water and wiping it dry with a microfiber cloth.

Step 3

To remove rust, make a paste with baking soda and water, then gently rub that on the rust area, and rinse or wipe it clean with a microfiber cloth. Spray the cleaning product on the area, then let it sit for at least 1 minute, and rinse it clean.

Step 4

If it still isn’t removed, use Bar Keeper’s friend instead of baking soda. To achieve a showroom shine for your appliances, add a small drop of mineral oil on a paper towel, then wipe it on the stainless steel with an “S” motion, and rub it until well coated.
