Birkenstocks are great shoes for multi-purpose wear. The classic German sandals look awesome when they are new, but keeping them clean and suede can be very challenging. When I found this wonderful cleaning hack by Nynfa Day Graza, on YouTube, I was excited to see if this cleaning method would work on my dirty Birkenstock shoes that I had written off as beyond hope, but they had finally gotten really broken in and comfortable, so I thought it was certainly worth a try, even if is made them look a little better.
Materials Needed To Clean Birkenstocks:
- 1 tablespoon of baking soda
- 1/2 tablespoon laundry soap powder
- 1 tablespoon water
- A toothbrush
- A small bowl
- Wet wipes

Then you will wipe this mixture off with wet wipes. Leave your Birkenstocks to dry out at room temperature for about 3 to 4 days, and the suede will be lightened and fluffy again.
