Patio doors can be really hard to clean, especially if you have an old-school metal patio door. I recently found this video tutorial by Andrea Jean Cleaning, on YouTube, that described how to effectively clean and lubricate a patio door. I was so excited because it was such an awesome idea. I have an old Seventies-style patio door that really had a lot of aluminum groves where the tracks are, and boy is it hard to clean. Using this new method of cleaning a patio door, I cut the time of cleaning that area in half.

Materials To Clean And Lubricate A Patio Door:

  • A microfiber cloth
  • An old toothbrush
  • A bowl of warm soapy water (Dawn works best)
  • A Bissell Steam Shot Cleaner (is very useful but not necessary)
  • Pam Cooking Spray (or WD40)
