Step 1
Get a large cutting board, then place the turkey with its breast side facing up and the legs facing you, and slice through the skin that connects the breast and leg quarter.
Step 2
With your one hand, hold the breast, then bend the leg away with your other hand, and separate the hip joint from the backbone.
Step 3
Cut through the joints and skin, then continue to cut along the backbone to remove the leg and thigh piece, and do the same on the other side.
Step 4
Gently pull the wings away from the breast, then cut through the skin and joint to release the wing, and repeat the same step on the other side.
Step 5
Rotate the turkey, then feel through the skin to find the keel bone, and cut through the skin and between the bone and breast meat.
Step 6
Hold the thigh down with your one hand, then use your other hand to hold the end of the drumstick and bend it away to expose the joint that connects them.
Step 7
Cut through that joint and do the same for the other drumstick, then carve the meat from the thigh and breast, and plate the turkey.
