Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 lb salmon, skin removed
  • 2 tbsp garlic-infused olive oil
  • Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper
  • chili powder
  • 1 – 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 3 tbsp minced garlic
  • few dashes of sesame oil
  • 1 – 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • chives and sesame seeds, for garnish

Directions:

Step 1

To start, cut the salmon into bite-size pieces and transfer them to a bowl. Season the salmon bites with 2 tbsp garlic-infused olive oil, cajun seasoning, salt, ground black pepper, and chili powder. Mix well, making sure the salmon is properly coated. Next, melt 1 – 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high and add 2 tbsp avocado oil. Once the butter melts, add in the salmon. Cook each side for a minute or until they brown. After cooking, remove them from the pan and set them aside.

Step 2

In the same pan over low heat, melt 1/2 tbsp butter, then add 2 – 3 tbsp of minced garlic. Add a few dashes of sesame oil, 1 – 2 tbsp hoisin sauce, 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce, 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp ginger paste, and 1/4 cup of honey. Mix everything well and reduce the sauce until nice and thick (about three to four minutes). Once the sauce has a glaze texture, add the salmon bites back to the pan, and gently toss them with the sauce. Garnish with some freshly chopped chives and parsley before serving.
