We’ve all had that moment at the end of a long cleaning session in the car or at home when you sit down to take a deep breath and enjoy the spotless environment you’ve just created and then you see it. These giant streaks on the windows or spots that you’ve missed are staring at you in the face. This was happening to me every time I cleaned my windows regardless of the product, brand, time of day I clean, or the weather. So I decided to take matters into my own hands to create a spotless finish every time. That’s right, folks. This is a DIY window cleaning solution I’ve tried, tested, and stand behind.
One of the things I love most about this DIY cleaning solution is that it’s made entirely of ingredients I always have on hand. All you need is a little Dawn dish detergent (or whichever brand you prefer, I’ve just had the most luck with this brand), distilled white vinegar, water, and a container to store it in. Add a couple tablespoons of Jet Dry (or other brands of liquid dishwasher detergent) for an extra boost of shine. Kudos to eHow Home for making this video that explains measurements and methods so well! If you’re tired of the struggle of cleaning your windows with commercial glass cleaning products that leave big streaks or don’t wipe up even half of the mess, toss those products and make your own by following along with this easy video tutorial.
