These classic peanut butter balls are the perfect balance of smooth, creamy peanut butter and shiny, smooth chocolate. It’s a no-bake recipe, making it much easier to make. Sugar Spun Run on YouTube provides a tutorial to make these treats, perfect for all sweet lovers to snack on.
Ingredients:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, combine 4 oz of softened cream cheese and 2 tbsp butter. Mix them well until smooth and creamy. Then, stir in 2 cups of powdered sugar and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Mix well until it becomes a thick dough. Scoop out the dough into tablespoon-sized scoops.
Roll the dough in between your palms to make a nice, smooth sphere. Repeat the process and place each on a wax paper-lined baking sheet.
Let the dough chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.
For the chocolate coat, place 12 oz of the chocolate of your choice in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave the mixture for 25 seconds. Then, remove it from the microwave and give it a stir. Place your chocolate back into the microwave and heat it in 15-second intervals.
Stir thoroughly and scrape the sides of the bowl each time until the chocolate melts. Begin to check the temperature once your chocolate appears to be about 50% melted. Keep the temperature between 87F and 91F.
Once the chocolate is tempered, remove the peanut butter balls from the fridge. Dip the bottoms of the balls and then drizzle the tops until the entire ball is chocolate coated. Carefully slide the coated balls onto the wax paper sheet. Repeat with the remaining balls while monitoring the chocolate temperature.
When done, allow the chocolate to set and harden.
Finally, savor every sweet and buttery bite! Store the leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge.
