Ingredients:

  • 1 lb cavatappi or elbow noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 tbsp chopped sundried tomatoes
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella shredded
  • 1 cup Colby Jack, shredded
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp beef bouillon
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • all-purpose seasoning
  • smoked paprika

Directions:

Step 1

Salt your boiling water and cook the pasta according to its package instructions. In the meantime, fry the bacon until crispy, remove it, then add the ground beef in the same pan. Season with some all-purpose seasoning, some smoked paprika, and 1/2 tsp beef bouillon. Cook until nice and brown. Once browned, stir in the chopped bell pepper and onion. Next, add 1 tbsp Dijon mustard, 2 tbsp tomato paste, 1 tbsp garlic paste, 3 tbsp chopped sundried tomatoes, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, and 1 cup ketchup. Stir everything together.

Step 2

After this, add 2 tbsp brown sugar, stir, then add 1 cup of beef stock. Bring it to a simmer, then stir in the cooked and chopped bacon together with the cooked pasta. Lastly, stir in half of the shredded cheese, then put the rest on top. Pop it in a 350-degree F oven for about 15 minutes until the cheese fully melts. Garnish with some freshly chopped parsley and serve.
