Commercial fabric softener can be toxic and leave a strange waxy coating on your clothes, so I was very happy to find this DIY video tutorial by Clean My Space, on YouTube, that described exactly how to make fabric softener at home. All you need to do to make this awesome laundry softener is to mix your natural anti-static fabric softener in a container with a tightly sealable lid. Then you will add this mixture to your regular laundry load. Your dryer sponges stay fresh and fully moist with the wonderfully smelling homemade mixture and it will be ready for use whenever you need it. There are 2 very easy-to-make make recipes here, and the first one has a vinegar base, and the 2nd one uses Epsom salts.

The First Recipe For The Homemade Fabric Softener:

  • An empty bottle
  • Fill the bottle with white vinegar
  • 10 to 20 drops of your favorite essential oil
