This homemade chicken lettuce wrap by SAM THE COOKING GUY is one of my favorite Asian dishes. It’s even better than P.F. Chang’s version! It’s an easy and healthy recipe that you can quickly prepare at home on a weekday or weekend night. You can taste the bold flavors with each bite of this dish. It’s so good – you have to try it! Ingredients
- 1/4 cup of Hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon of Asian chili sauce
- 2 teaspoons of soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil
- neutral oil
- 1/4 cup of finely diced white or yellow onion
- 1/4 cup of diced red pepper
- 1 pound chicken thighs (boneless, skinless, and cut into very small pieces)
- 2 large garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tablespoon of fresh ginger (peeled and finely chopped)
- 1 head of butter lettuce (separated into individual leaf cups)
- peanuts and green onions (chopped for garnish)

Instructions
Step 1:
Start by combining 1/4 cup of hoisin, 1 tablespoon of chili sauce, 2 teaspoons of soy sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil in a bowl. Mix until well combined, then set aside.
Step 2:
Place a pan over heat. Once the wok is almost smoking, add about a tablespoon of the oil, followed by the diced onion and red pepper. Cook for one minute.
Step 3:
Add the pieces of chicken and stir fry until just cooked through for about 3 minutes. Next, add the finely chopped ginger and garlic, and cook them for another minute or 2 until the chicken is done cooking.
Step 4:
Add the hoisin mixture to the chicken and stir until everything is well coated.
Step 5:
Serve the coated chicken in the leaf cups and garnish with chopped peanuts and green onion on top. Enjoy!
