Secret Features of Tools

1 – Screwdriver

Can’t rotate the screwdriver properly? Try using a wrench. It fits perfectly to the end of the handle.

2 – Screwdriver with holes

Some screwdrivers have holes, so you can hang them on a wall or secure them while working. But did you know you can also use it to get more leverage? You can insert another screwdriver through the hole to have a better grip.

3 – Screwdriver handle

If the handle of your screwdriver doesn’t have a hole or is not the same shape as your wrench, check the tip of the handle. It may be hexagonal. If it is, you can use an adjustable wrench to rotate it.

4 – Cutter

  • Do you notice the small indentation on the blade of your cutter? You can use it to cut the rubber covering of wires.
  • Is your blade getting? You can easily change it. Slide the blade so the line is aligned to the edge of the cover. Get the end of the cutter, and use it to snap the blade.

6 – Measuring tape

  • You can use the back of the measuring tape to remove pencil writings on wood.
  • Did you notice the small hole on the tip of your measuring tape? It is there so you can slide the head of a screw.
  • Does the tip have grooves? You can use it to mark on wood.

7 – Padlock

Notice the small hole under the lock? Its purpose is to drain rainwater. You can also use the same hole to lubricate the mechanism.
