This recipe does not contain any grain, refined sugar, dairy, or flour, so it’s definitely healthier than your average brownies. It’s the perfect dessert treat to indulge in after a meal.

These brownies are incredibly moist and rich – one slice will surely not be enough! To make this recipe at home, you will need a sweet potato, unsweetened almond butter, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, sea salt, and chocolate chips. Start by preheating your oven to 350F and lining a 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
Add 1 cup of mashed potato into a large mixing bowl, followed by almond butter, eggs, pure maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
Add the cocoa powder, baking soda, sea salt, and ground cinnamon. Stir until it becomes thick and creamy.
Stir in the chocolate chips until well incorporated into the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread into an even layer. You can sprinkle more chocolate chips on top, if preferred.
Place on the center rack of the preheated oven and bake for about 23 to 28 minutes. If you want fudgy, gooey brownies, bake the brownies for 23 minutes.
Once done baking, allow the cookies to cool completely for about an hour before slicing. Serve with a scoop of ice cream on top and enjoy!
