Easy Cucumber Yogurt Salad Ingredients

  • greek yogurt or plain yogurt (strained for about an hour or more)
  • rock salt or kosher salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • fresh herbs (dill or chopped mint)
  • English cucumber

How to Make Cucumber Yogurt Salad

Step 1:

Start by placing a strainer above a large bowl. Pour the Greek yogurt or plain yogurt into the strainer. Let it drain for about an hour or more. The water will separate and fill the bowl.

Step 2:

Cut out the ends of the cucumber and using a vegetable peeler. Peel off the skin. Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise using a pairing knife. Remove the seeds using a spoon. Just hold the cucumber towards you at an angle, then scrape down. Using a shelf knife, finely slice the cucumber. Place them in a colander and sprinkle salt. Mix and let the colander sit for an hour in a bowl. The salt will drain the water out.

Step 3:

After an hour, wash the cucumber slices with water, drain them, then place them on a clean towel. Pat them dry.

Step 4:
