Ingredients:

  • 1 – 12 pack of Hawaiian rolls
  • 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp melted butter, divided
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and grease your casserole dish with some cooking spray. Next, place the Hawaiian rolls onto the casserole dish and cut an X 2/3 the way through on each piece. Set it aside. Next, combine 1/3 cup of melted butter, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg, and 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Whisk together well and pour it over the rolls. In another bowl, combine 8 oz softened cream cheese and 3 tbsp sugar. Mix together well, then add one egg. Continue mixing until incorporated.

Step 2

Once done, transfer the cream cheese mixture to a piping bag, then squeeze it into each cut over the top of the rolls. After this, place the rolls in the preheated 375 degrees F oven and bake them for twelve minutes. After baking, remove from the oven and serve.
