- 2 1/2 cups of milk

- Salt and pepper to taste
For The Topping:
- 2/3 cup panko or other breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter
For The Rest:
- 2 pounds of blanched green beans
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 4 ounces of Gruyere cheese (graded and divided)
- 1/3 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
