As a baking enthusiast, I always find homemade pastry recipes I can make, and when I stumbled upon this recipe from Twisted on YouTube, I knew I had to try it. The first time I made these, they were a complete success, and my family finished them in an instant. Watch the video below to learn the full recipe and start making them today!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp dried yeast
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 1/2 cups of flour

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 packs of raspberries
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Directions:

Step 1

In a large bowl, add 2 cups warm milk, 1/2 cup sugar, and 2 tbsp dried yeast. Mix well, then add 1/2 cup butter, 2 eggs, and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix again, then add the flour. Fold together until dough forms. Once done, transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for a few minutes. After this, shape it into a big ball and place it in a large mixing bowl. Cover with a plastic wrap and let it rise for one hour.

Step 2

In another bowl, add 1 cup of cream cheese, 1/2 cup of butter, and 1/2 cup of sugar. Whisk using an electric mixer until smooth. Back to the dough, transfer it to a floured surface, then roll it out with a rolling pin. Next, spread the cream cheese mixture all over along with raspberries mixed with cornstarch. After this, roll the dough into a nice big log, then cut it into twelve equal pieces. Once done, place the slices into a parchment paper-lined baking tray. Cover it with plastic wrap and let it rise for 3o minutes. After 30 minutes, place it in the oven at 400 degrees F.

Step 3

In the meantime, combine 1 cup icing sugar and 1/4 cup heavy cream in a mixing jug. Mix until well combined. Once the swirl buns are done baking, drizzle the glaze over each top. Serve and enjoy!
