Having your garden filled with ants isn’t really seasonal, they don’t choose a time to look for food. Your garden is an abundant source of food for them, good for the ants but bad for you. Luckily, this insect could be repelled with numerous effective tricks and solutions, just like this ant trap by Khang Starr on YouTube. You may not be able to get rid of them completely but you’ll see the number of ants that are roaming your garden drop significantly. Try and see if this inexpensive and super easy method works for your garden.
Step 1
Lay some newspapers on your work surface so that you will do less cleaning later. Grab an empty water bottle and unscrew the cap, scoop about 1 spoon of Borax and pour it inside the bottle, add a bunch of sugar (the more sugar the better as the ants will love it), and add a bit of honey to the mixture, then put the cap back to the bottle, and close it.

Step 2
Shake the water bottle until the ingredients are well combined, if needed, you can add some water. You can make the mixture liquidy or crystal-like, if it’s too runny, then the ants will consume it right at the bottle and die there, but if the mixture is more crystal-like, then the ants will be able to take it back to their colony and you’ll wipe out all of them. Using a scissor, cut a small opening near the neck of the water bottle, just enough for the ants to get into. Lastly, place it on the area of your garden where you would always see a bunch of ants.
