I’m sure I’m not the only one who was wondering how to do this. When I ran across this tutorial I stopped to check it out, since I had been so curious about it.

This is a little different than a basic quilt block and that was why I was so intrigued by it. I’m sure there will be many of you who want to learn how to do this too. Of course I realize there are a lot of pros out there that have been doing this for years.

As a little girl, I watched my Grandmother make quilts like these, but I was too young to appreciate all the detail she put into them at the time. I also never dreamed I’d be interested in making quilts until recent years. She would be so happy about this.

It would only make sense that I would finally come around to making a quilt since I come from a long line of quilters, and I’m so glad that my interest was finally piqued. It was a long time coming though.

Watch how Laura Coia, with Sew Very Easy, makes this folded quilt block so you can try making these yourself!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
