We all have those moments when we wanted to use our favorite sunglasses but couldn’t because they were broken. We needed the glasses because we were on our way to the beach to enjoy the sun during the summer. So we looked for the common glue, but once we tried to fix the broken glasses, they still fell apart. So what do we do when this happens? We don’t have time to go to the nearest store to have our glasses fixed. First Class Amateur on Youtube has the simplest answer for us–the old super glue and baking soda trick! After all, we don’t need expensive products to fix our broken glasses. The trick works quickly as well. So that by the end of it all, we can still use our favorite glasses at the beach.

Here’s how.

Materials:

  • Super glue
  • Baking soda
  • Broken glasses
  • Tweezers

Directions:

The first thing you do is get your broken glasses. Using a tweezer, hold the other broken end and get your super glue. Put a drop of super glue on the broken end. Sprinkle a pinch of baking soda on the same spot. Let it sit for a few seconds. Then blow off the baking soda. Repeat the process. The spot will turn as hard as a rock.

Then take out the other end of the glasses. Fit the broken end into the ridge at a 45 degree angle. And that’s it. Everything will just be fixed in place.

With this trick, you don’t need screws to attach the hinges. The super glue and baking soda will solidify to act as a hinge that would fit the temples of the glasses to the rim.
