Instructions:

Step 1:

Place the lining of the pocket right side down, followed by the batting and the topper of the pocket. Baste the pocket all the way around with an 1/8″ seam allowance. Sew the binding on the top of the sewn pocket. Make sure to sew on the square top end not on the rounded bottom. Do the same for the remaining pieces.

Step 2:

Get the back of the pot holder right side up. Next, put the pockets right side down on top on both ends., then place the back lining right side down. Lastly, place the batting with metal on top. Pin in all together.

Step 3:

Take it over the machine and sew about 1/4″ seam allowance but make sure to leave an opening. Trim off the excess batting. Find the lining to lining layer, then pull it right side out. Take the bottom and top pocket and flip them inside out. Stitch the opening. Trim off the excess and you are done.
