Step 1

The first and most important thing to do is to vacuum, sweep, or dust mop the floor thoroughly before you do anything else. Spraying immediately on a dry and dirty floor surface will turn the dust into mud which will be harder to clean.

Step 2

Next, make sure to use the right cleaner for your floor, the most recommended are neutral pH floor cleaners because they will not leave a residue, will dry your floor streak-free, and will keep your floors cleaner longer. Prepare the solution as instructed in the back of the bottle.

Step 3

Lastly, keep your mophead clean because you don’t want to spread more dirt and grime all over the floor. Make sure to rinse whatever you use and do it as much as needed to keep it clean and free of any dirt. The cleaner the mop, the easier it is to lift dirt from the floor.
