If you want to make some adorable decorations for Halloween without spending a lot of money, then try this DIY project idea by NataliDoma DIY on YouTube that uses only a couple of yarn. It is quick to make, practical, and looks very cute, too.

Materials:

  • White, orange, green, and black yarn
  • 2 small beads
  • Scissors
  • Black felt fabric

Directions:

DIY Yarn Ghost

Wrap the white yarn around 3 of your fingers about 50 times, then insert a piece of yarn underneath the loop, and tie it securely. Cut the other end of the loop, then tie another piece of yarn just about an inch down from the top, and snip off the excess tail. Sew two small beads for the eyes and you’re all done!

DIY Yarn Pumpkin

Wrap the orange yarn around 3 of your fingers 70 times, then tie them together at the center with a green piece of yarn, and knot it a few times. Make sure to pull the loops down so that it’s shaped like a pumpkin, then fold a piece of green yarn about 3 times, then wrap them with the same yarn until completely covered and stiff, and tie it on top of the yarn pumpkin. Curve then shape the green piece of yarn and you’re done!

Cut small bat wings using black felt fabric, then insert it underneath the loop, and tie a piece of black yarn just above the wings to form the bat head. Trim off the excess tail at the bottom and you’re all done!
