How to Clean a Window AC the Lazy Way

I used to struggle with cleaning my AC unit and it doesn’t even come out as clean as I wanted sometimes, it only does depending on how much effort and cleaning products I used. However, there are times when I don’t have the energy to clean my AC unit but I really have to, so I tried looking for ways and other approaches that I can try to clean my AC unit without having to go all through the hassle.

One of my favorite methods is this one by Kendall Todd TheSilverGuy on YouTube, and so far this has worked wonders for me, and I don’t even have to break a sweat while cleaning. It also helps a lot if you clean your AC unit with this method often instead of waiting for more buildup, that way the accumulated dirt will break down easily and cleaning will be quicker.

Easy Window AC Cleaning Hack for Lazy People:

Step 1

The first and most important thing you have to do is to turn off the unit and disconnect it, then give the foaming cleaner a good shake, and remove the cap.

Step 2

Point it toward the surface that you want to clean, but make sure to not spray it on electrical wires, then keep spraying because you need to saturate the area with the product, and let it sit for a while.

This kind of foaming cleaner is self-rinsing which means the foam will break down on its own and in the process rinse out all the dirt.

Step 3

Once the surface is all clean and dried, you can plug the unit back in, and turn it on.
