White shoes are very easy to dress and pair with because they go with almost any outfit, but one struggle an owner would inevitably face is having them all dirty. These types of shoes are prone to mud, splatter, dust, or any other dirt that could tarnish their pristine look which is why it’s important to know a trick or technique that you can use to clean your shoes when you encounter such mishaps.

One of my favorite methods to use is this one by Clean Freak & Germaphobe on YouTube, apart from its simplicity and effectiveness, I also love how it’s so convenient and practical. Especially for those who own a dishwashing machine at home, because it automatically means that you would have some dishwashing tabs available which is an important item for this hack to work.
Step 1
Remove the shoelaces and throw them in the machine to wash or clean them by hand instead. Get 2 containers or bowls, then fill one with hot water and the other with cold water, in the hot water, add the dishwashing tab. Stir it to help the tab dissolve faster, then dip your cleaning brush in the solution, and start scrubbing off the dirt and grime in your shoes.
Step 2
Rinse off your brush in the cold water when you feel like it has become too dirty, then dip it in the soap solution again, and continue scrubbing off the remaining dirt on the shoes. For the sides or rubber part of the shoe, it might be easier to clean it using a piece of magic eraser, then once done, dip a rag or cloth in clean water, and wipe off any residue on the shoe.
