There are a lot of Christmas decor ideas and inspirations that you can find online, but I prefer recycled or upcycled projects because they tend to be more inexpensive than store-bought ones but equally beautiful and stunning. My top pick would be this adorable angel ornament by This Southern Girl Can on YouTube!

What I love about this DIY project is the fact that it’s super easy to make and there’s really no right or wrong in doing it, you can add your personal touch and let your creativity take over to make your own version of this ornament. You can use some old neckties that you have along with a few Christmas balls that you used last year.
Step 1
From the endpoint of the wider side of the tie measure 10 inches, then cut it out and pull the fabric apart from the cut apart. Trim the liner about an inch, then fold down the two corners to make an angle, and hot glue them in place.
Step 2
Fold the top down to create a little loop as shown in the video, then hot glue it in place, and insert a wire or twine through the loop. Tie it together at the center nicely and tightly, then cut off the excess, and set the tie piece aside.

Step 3
Grab the leftover part of the tie, then cut the ends, and keep the skinny part only. Tie the center into a knot, then lay it over the wide tie piece, about an inch from the top, and wrap the ends over to the back.
Step 4
Hot glue the ends to the back of the tie angel, then hot glue the top of the tie angel underneath a Christmas ball. Make the wings using the wired ribbon and create a halo using a pipe cleaner, then hot glue them to the angel, and you’re done!
