There are times when charging your phone could be a hassle, especially if the outlet is kind of placed in an awkward place. This is where fabric holders could come in handy. Here, Sewcraftyme on YouTube will show you just how simple and easy it is to make even for beginners.
Step 1
Print out the pattern here and cut it out. Then place the holder template on the main fabric, mark and cut around it to get the main piece, leave the small rectangle at the center and cut it out later. Repeat the process on the lining fabric, cut out the two pocket pieces using the pocket pattern. Cut one main piece and one pocket piece from the interfacing using the same templates then cut off 3/8 inch from the main and pocket interfacing all around, then cut the bias binding strips. Fuse the main interfacing on the wrong side of the main fabric, leaving 3/8 inch all around, and press with an iron, repeat with the pocket and interfacing pieces. Layer the main and lining pieces and again place the template over it, then mark the small rectangle at the center, fold it in half lengthwise, and cut it out.

Step 2
Stack the main piece and the lining piece together with their right sides facing each other and the edges matching, pin them in place. Sew around the small rectangle, make notches on the corners then proceed to notch all around the rectangle. Push the lining piece through the rectangle and turn them right side out, pull properly, and press. Topstitch along the edge of the rectangle, stack the pocket pieces together with their right sides facing each other, then pin them together, join and sew along the shorter side, turnover to the right side, and press. Topstitch along the sewn edge, attach the pocket to the main piece of the holder, place the pocket along the lower part of the holder aligning the raw edges and pin, sew along the pinned edges to join.
Step 3
Take one of the binding strips, fold both the long edges towards the wrong side by half an inch, and press to set. Fold it again in half and press once more, repeat on all the other binding strips, take the longer binding pieces, place the two longer edges of the holder in between the folds of the binding and pin along, then repeat on the other side. Sew the binding shut on both sides, take the shorter binding strips, fold the raw edges by half an inch inwards and place the shorter edges of the holder between the folds, sew the binding shut.
