Ingredients:

  • 2 fresh peaches
  • 8-ounce tube crescent rolls
  • ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
  • 1½ tablespoons flour
  • ¾ cup lemon-lime soda, like Sprite or Mountain Dew

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F, then grease an 8 inches square pan with a nonstick spray, and set it aside. Now, cut each piece of peach into quarters and you’ll have a total of 8 slices, you can use bake them with their skin on as it will soften when baked, or if you want you can peel the skin off. Unroll a tube of crescent rolls, then separate the dough into 8 pieces, and sprinkle them with a pinch of ground cinnamon. Take a slice of peach, then place it on the larger end of the crescent roll, and start rolling it up toward the pointed end until it becomes a little bundle, tuck the ends in and set it aside. Proceed to work on the rest of the peach slices and crescent rolls using the same process.

Step 2

Place all of the dumplings in the prepared baking dish assembling them in two rows with a single layer each. Now, in a mixing bowl, add the melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and flour, then whisk them all together until they are well combined and uniform. Pour this mixture all over the crescent roll bundles, then pour the lemon-lime soda around them as well as in between the dumplings. Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top of the dumplings, then put them in the preheated oven, and let them bake at 350°F for about 35 to 40 minutes or until nice and brown. Serve this with some whipped cream or ice cream and enjoy!
