Making this DIY toilet deodorizer is more inexpensive than store-bought ones and they last longer because 2 regular soaps can yield a couple of strips that you can use for a few months! Now your bathroom will smell amazing every time you flush and will also kill bacteria at the same time. Making this is super easy and requires no special tool or prior experience.
Step 1
Grate the soap bars over a deep tray, then carefully transfer the grated soap to a pot, and add about 2½ cups of all-purpose cleaner or detergent over them. Stir and mix them, then place the pot on a stove over low heat, and stir continuously to prevent burning. This will take at least 30 minutes to thicken, but you can use an emulsifier or handheld blender to make the process quicker.

Step 2
Once thickened as shown in the video, transfer the mixture to a baking sheet lined with plastic wrap, and spread it as evenly as possible. Let it cool to room temperature or place it in the refrigerator to set for about 1 hour. Once set, flip the soap over a flat surface, then peel off the plastic, and cut the soap into the desired shape and size.
Step 3
Place the soap in a plastic container in a single layer, then place parchment paper over it, and add another layer. Place the lid on the container, then store it, and when you want to use it, just stick the soap on the side of the toilet. Every time you flush the toilet bowl will be sanitized and smell fragrant at the same time.
