If you don’t know what to give yet as a gift or you just want to keep yourself busy with a fun craft, then give this simple but adorable project idea by Kayla’s Cricut Creations on YouTube a try! It’s fun, easy, and handy, try it out this weekend, and you won’t regret it.
Step 1
Take the lid off from the canning jar, then apply some rubbing alcohol on the outer body of the jar rubbing it well, this will help the chalk paint adhere better. Coat the jar including the rim with chalk paint (you can use whatever color you want), then let it dry completely before coating it with a Krylon clear glaze spray for a shiny finishing touch, and set it aside to dry completely. While waiting for the jar to dry, design the image or letter that you want to put on the jar, then print it out on vinyl sticker paper.

Step 2
After printing the design of your choice, trim out the excess paper around the design, then slowly peel off the sticker paper at the top leaving only the design or letters themselves. Apply a piece of transfer tape on top of the vinyl, then rub it down with a scraper tool, and once completely adhered, peel off the backing paper. Slowly place the tape on top of the jar, then rub it down really well until adhered, and gently peel off the tape. Grab the kleenex jar, then remove the lid, remove the kleenex out of the round cardboard, and insert them inside the jar. Place the peeled cardboard rim on top of the jar, then place the jar lid, and close it. Wrap a jute cord around the neck of the jar and you’re done!
