Instead of giving real flowers, try making one that’s edible instead! Watch this video tutorial by BuonaPappa on YouTube and learn how to turn cherry tomatoes into tulips filled with delicious and creamy cheese mixture with only a few easy steps. This will look great on your table, especially for your parties or you can give this as an edible gift.
Step 1
First off, finely chop the basil leaves as well as the sun-dried tomatoes, then set them aside. Grab a small mixing bowl, then add the cottage cheese, put the chopped basil leaves and sun-dried tomatoes as well, and mix them all together until well combined. Set them aside. Next, steam the green beans, but only for about 5 minutes, they should not be overcooked or they will be too soft to hold the tomatoes.

Step 2
Give the cherry tomatoes a good wash and cut an “X” on top of them making sure that it reaches halfway. Do not cut it too low or the tomatoes will open too much and the filling will overflow. Remove the seeds of each tomato, then insert a skewer at the bottom center to create a small hole. Gently insert one green bean in the hole created at the bottom of the tomato to make the tulips. Fill each tomato with about one to two teaspoons of the cottage cheese mixture.
