If you’ve got some apples and you don’t know what to do with them yet, then use them to make delicious baked apples that are filled with sweet and yummy goodness that you and your family will surely love. You only a few ingredients to make this, some might already be available in your kitchen, plus, you can make this either in the oven or air fryer, whichever you find convenient to use.

Ingredients:

  • 4-6 Granny Smith apples
  • ¼-½ cup of brown sugar
  • ½ tsp of cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp of nutmeg
  • 2-3 tbsp of butter, scoop ½ tbsp per apple
  • ¼-⅓ cup of chopped pecans

Directions:

Step 1

In a small mixing bowl, add the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then mix them all together until uniform and well combined, and set it aside. Next, make sure to rinse all of the apples well and pat them dry, then remove all of the stems, and scoop out the middle or core through the top but don’t go all the way. Fill the apples with some sugar mixture, then add half a tablespoon of butter on each, and stuff some chopped pecans as well.

Step 2

If you are using an oven, then preheat it to 350°F or 176°C, and grease a baking pan with nonstick spray. Place the apples in the greased baking pan, then put them inside the preheated oven, and let them bake for about 35 to 45 minutes or until fork tender. If you’re cooking in the air fryer, then place the apples in the greased cake pan, and place it inside the air fryer basket. Put the basket in the air fryer, then set the temperature to 350°F or 176°C, and let them cook for about 10 to 15 minutes or until fork tender. Transfer the apples to a serving plate, then top them with some ice cream if desired, serve, and enjoy!
