Aside from quilting, crochet is another hobby that I’ve immersed myself in and have never stopped doing since then, and I don’t regret it. There are a lot of crochet projects that you can learn online and it’s truly confusing at first, especially if you’re a beginner, but once you get the hang of it, you can probably finish a project within just a few minutes. If you’re looking for a project that you can try your skills with, then I suggest that you check out this wonderful sunflower crochet by naztazia on YouTube!
Step 1
Start with the center section with either a magic ring or a slip knot, then chain 1 very loosely, and then proceed to chain 3. For the 4th chain, make 11 double crochet stitches within it, you should have 12 stitches in total, then slip stitch to close the circle, and chain 3 before making a double crochet in the same stitch. In each stitch around, make 2 double crochet stitches, then once complete, you’ll have 24 stitches in total, and then proceed to fasten off and weave in all ends. That piece will be the front of the flower, repeat the same steps as you did earlier to make another centerpiece for the flower, but this time, use green yarn.

Step 3
Once done, lay the centerpieces together with their wrong sides facing, then sew them on their edges with yellow yarn, and proceed to crochet the flower petals as shown in the video. Alternately pull 1 petal forward and 1 backward, if the petals are too stiff, pin them in place, then spray them with water, and allow them to dry. To finish the flower, crochet the leaves, then make the stem, and hot glue the flower to the stem before hot gluing the leaves. For a more detailed guide, click here, and download the pattern.
