Ingredients for Sugar-Free Apple Bread:

  • 1¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cup oat flour
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 pound apples
  • 1/3 cup walnuts

How to Make Sugar-Free Apple Bread:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F or 180°C, then lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or a nonstick cooking spray, and line it with parchment paper. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the oat flour, all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then give them a good stir until combined, and set it aside.

Step 2

In a large bowl, add the honey or maple syrup, butter, and oil, then whisk everything with an electric hand mixer until combined, add the buttermilk and vanilla extract, and keep mixing until incorporated. Gradually add the flour mixture as you keep mixing until incorporated, then set it aside. Peel and core the apples, then cut them into small pieces, and add them to the batter.

Step 3

Give them a good mix until well combined, then pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan evenly, and top it with chopped walnuts. Place it in the preheated oven, then allow it to bake for about 50 to 60 minutes or until golden brown and the toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean. Let the bread cool down completely, then slice, and serve. Enjoy!
