Start by cutting the angel food cake into chunks. Place them in the bowl.
In a chilled metal bowl of your stand mixer, add 2 cups of whipping cream and 1/4 cup of powdered sugar. Whisk until it becomes nice and thick for about 3 minutes. Transfer to another bowl.
In the same or different bowl, add the vanilla pudding, cold milk, 1 to 1/2 teaspoon of orange zest, and sour cream. Make sure not to include the white part of the orange when zesting. Mix until well combined and thick.
Fold the whipped cream into the vanilla pudding mixture.
Add a layer of angel food cake pieces into the bottom of your trifle dish. Next, line half of the strawberries to the sides of the dish all the way around, then add some on top of the angel food cake. Add half of the pudding mixture and spread well. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
Top with the reserved strawberries. Place in the fridge for a couple of hours before serving. Enjoy!
