Ingredients:

  • 6 cups of chicken broth
  • 5 pounds of red potatoes, unpeeled
  • 5 cloves of garlic, whole
  • ½ cup of salted butter
  • 4 ounces of cream cheese
  • ½ cup of buttermilk
  • 1 tsp of salt

Directions:

Step 1

Wash and clean the potatoes well, then pat them dry, and cut them into 1-inch cubes or chunks. Place the potato chunk in a large pot, then add the garlic cloves, and pour the chicken broth. Place the pot on a stove over high heat, then bring it to a boil for about 15 minutes or until fork tender, and turn off the heat.

Step 2

Strain the potatoes including the garlic cloves from the broth, then transfer the potatoes and garlic to a large mixing bowl, and add the butter, cream cheese, buttermilk, and salt. Using a masher, mash the potatoes while mixing them together at the same time until melted and combined. Serve immediately while still hot and enjoy!
