This quilt project idea by Missouri Star on YouTube is super simple and easy to piece together. This is the perfect project for beginners or if you’re a seasoned quilter who is looking for a simple quilt to keep you busy for the weekend, then you should check this out, too. Learn how now by reading the written instructions down below and watching the video tutorial as well while you’re at it.
Step 1
Pick the fabrics that you want to use, then cut the background fabric into 3-inch squares and 3½-inch squares, and cut the print fabric into 3-inch squares and 3½-inch squares as well. Get the 3½-inch print square and background square, then lay them together with their right sides facing, and draw a line at the wrong side of the background square diagonally from corner to corner. Sew on each side of the line with a ¼-inch seam allowance, then cut along the marked line, and press it open.

Step 2
Square the half-square triangles, then lay the squares out, and assemble them as shown in the video. Lay the first 2 squares together with their right sides facing, then sew them with a ¼ inch seam allowance, and press them open. Add the next square on top, then sew and press open, and then continue to sew them together until you’ve finished stitching the whole row. Sew the next rows, then sew the rows to each other, and press as you go. Continue to make more blocks using different print fabrics and finish your quilt however you want.
