The season is getting cozier, and one of the best ways to welcome this season is by whipping some banging slow cooker recipes! I highly recommend this slow cooker sausage casserole from What’s For Tea? on Youtube. It’s super comforting, extremely tasty, and pretty inexpensive to make. I’m sure your family will ask for more. Ingredients:

  • 14 pcs. pork sausages
  • 2 large carrots, cut into bite-size pieces
  • half a rutabaga, cut into chunks
  • 2 small parsnips, cut into chunks
  • 1 medium onion, finely sliced
  • 1 & 1/2 cups of water
  • 1 packet of seasoning mix (or gravy powder)
  • salt, pepper, and dried herbs to taste
  • 1/2 can cream of tomato soup

Directions:

Step 1

Add some vegetable oil to a pan, fry the sausages until brown, then chop them into bite-size pieces. Next, get over to your slow cooker and add 1 & 1/2 cups of water, 1 packet of seasoning mix, 1 tsp dried sage, 1 tsp dried thyme, sliced onion, chopped carrots, chopped rutabaga, and diced parsnips.

Step 2

Give it a good mix, then add the sausages, 1/2 can cream of tomato soup, and salt and pepper to taste. Put the lid on, set the slow cooker on high, and cook for five hours.
