A delicious sloppy joe is a staple food and is almost a must in our household, we love eating it every now and then, and I was always the one to prepare it. However, I wasn’t aware that there is such a faster and easier way of preparing this yummy dish that it can be ready in as fast as 15 minutes! This is such a great help to me, especially when I have to make them on a busy day or with only limited time. I am so glad I found this recipe by The Slow Roasted Italian on YouTube because preparing a yummy sloppy joe for my family has now become easier.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of lean ground beef
  • 1¼ cups of ketchup
  • 1 tbsp of tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp of coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of onion powder
  • ¼ cup of water
  • 6 hamburger buns

Directions:

Step 1

Place a skillet on a stove over medium-high heat, then place the ground beef breaking them apart, and let them cook until browned and cooked through making sure to stir occasionally. Drain off the excess rendered grease, then add the ketchup, tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, ground black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, and give them a good mix to combine.

Step 2

Pour the water, then stir them all together until well combined, and cover them with the lid. Reduce the heat of the stove to allow the mixture to simmer, then after 5 minutes, remove the lid, and stir the mixture around. Serve on hamburger buns and enjoy!
