Materials:

  • A plastic bag
  • Distilled white vinegar
  • Rubber band
  • A cleaning toothbrush

Directions:

Step 1

Fill a plastic bag with distilled white vinegar, then submerge the shower head in it completely, and hold it in place by tying a rubber band around it. Allow the shower head to soak in the vinegar for at least 2 to 4 hours or up to overnight depending on how much dirt and buildup there is.

Step 2

The vinegar will loosen up and eat away the buildup, by then pull off the bag, scrub away the gunk, turn on the water, and rinse off the buildup. Keep scrubbing and rinsing as needed until completely clean. You can also use this cleaning method on your faucet.
