How to Adjust Shoe Size to Make Them Fit

Sometimes your shoes just become too loose or too tight, or maybe you just bought the wrong size but you can’t return it anymore. Before you think that it has become a waste, try these tips and tricks by ShareHows on YouTube first, and see if any of these hacks will work for you and make your shoes more comfortable and fit to wear.

For Tight Shoes
- Thick socks
- Hair dryer
- Ziploc bag
- Shoe stretcher
For Loose Shoes
- Paper towel
- Sponge
- Stocking
- Shoe pad
- Insoles
Directions:
For Tight Shoes
The first method that you can try is wearing thick socks before wearing the shoes, then heat the shoes up with a hair dryer to soften the material and let it stretch, and then remove your feet from the shoes and take off your socks. Try wearing the shoes now and see if it’s to desired fit. Another method that you can try is filling a Ziploc bag with some water, then inserting the bag into the shoes, and placing the shoes in the freezer. You can also try putting a shoe stretcher on your shoes instead.

For Loose Shoes
If your shoes are too loose, you can try folding a piece of paper towel, then inserting it into the toe area, and wearing the shoes as usual, you can also add more paper towel until it fits nicely. Another method that you can try is by using sponges, if you have some small pieces of sponge available, try inserting them into the shoes, and adjust until it fits comfortably to your feet. If there are no sponges or paper towels, you can also use a small piece of folded stocking. Placing shoe pads and insoles on your shoes works just as fine, too.
