Materials for Scrappy Butterfly Quilt Block:
- Fabric scraps or crumb quilt, for the wings of the butterfly
- Print fabric, for the body of the butterfly
- Background fabric
- Butterfly die (Click here to purchase one)
- Ruler
- Scissors or rotary cutter and a cutting mat
- Needle and thread
- Iron, for pressing
- Sewing machine
How to Make a Scrappy Butterfly Quilt Block:
Make a crumb quilt for the wings, then use the butterfly die to cut out the fabric pieces that you’ll need, and assemble them as shown in the video tutorial. Start stitching them together per unit and press as you go, then stitch the units to each other, and press the seams nicely. Continue to make more quilt blocks, then assemble them together, and finish your quilt however you want.
