How to Make DIY Butterflies with Coke Cans

This lovely DIY project by Awesome Ideas on YouTube is so adorable and easy to make using only empty Coke cans! I love this project so much because they are perfect when used to decorate walls or mirrors, you can also attach them together using strings or chains and hang them wherever you want. Materials:
- Empty Coke cans
- Scissors
- Cutter
- Black marker
- Colored markers
- Clay
Directions:
Step 1
Cut off both ends of the can, then cut it open in half, and flatten the tin sheet as much as possible, you can try rolling it backward, too. Cut and divide the sheet into 2 pieces, then draw the butterfly, and cut the shape out carefully. Color the butterfly with whatever color you want, then leave it to dry for at least 5 minutes, and add borders and details using a black marker.

Step 2
Let it dry completely, then go ahead and make more butterflies of assorted shapes and colors. You can slightly bend or fold the butterfly to make it look like it’s flying as shown in the video, then shape a small piece of clay for the base, and attach the butterfly to it to make it stand. You can adhere them together with glue for a stronger hold, then attach them to your wall, or decorate your mirror with them.
