Step 1
First, download and print the pattern, then cut the fabrics according to size as instructed in the pattern guide. To make the corners of the pumpkin, get 1 print square and 1 background square, lay them together with their right sides facing, and stitch them on the side all the way around.
Step 2
Cut it in half diagonally, then cut it again in the opposite direction diagonally, and you’ll end up with 4 half-square triangles. Press the seams toward the darker fabric, cut off the nubs, and lay them together with the other print and solid squares to form the pumpkin.

Step 3
After assembling the print squares and half-square triangles, place 5 background squares on the side as shown in the video, then stitch them one at a time per row, and press the seams in one direction alternating them on each row.
Step 4
Stitch the rows to each other making sure the seams are nesting, then make 2 more blocks, and add a column of white squares on the other side of the final block to make them even as demonstrated in the video.
Step 5
Lay the batting on top of the backing, then place the quilt on top, and topstitch all over the quilt however you want. Carefully trim off the excess batting and backing, then fold the edge of the backing over in half, give it a good press, fold again, and topstitch near the edge.
