Growing your own food at home is so much better than store-bought because they become more delicious and healthier that way. No other chemicals are incorporated in your food and they can go straight to your kitchen upon harvest. One of the best vegetables to plant are potatoes, there are a lot of dishes and recipes that you can make with potato, plus, they grow pretty fast and easily, too. Materials:

  • Straw
  • Potatoes
  • Soil
  • Charcoal
  • Phosphate fertilizer
  • Rice
  • Banana
  • Container
  • Large bucket

Directions:

Step 1

Grab a small container, then fill the bottom with a layer of straw, and place a few potatoes on top. Cover the potatoes with another layer of straw, then add more potatoes, and cover them with a layer of straw again. Water them nicely, then cover them with plastic, and let them sit for about 3 days. Build a planter that could hold large buckets above the ground as shown in the video, then grab old large buckets, and some charcoal all over the bottom.

Step 2

Fill the bucket with soil, then add the fertilizer, and press the potatoes on top. Cover them with more soil, then add straw all over the top, and water them nicely. After a month, add more soil and water, then after 3 months, add a mixture of rice and banana all over the top of the soil and around the plant. Cover it again with soil, then water it nicely, and after 4 months, you can start harvesting.
