As the designated cook of the family, I am always on the lookout for easy but delicious recipes that will surely please the crowd and leave them with a full stomach. I almost always opt for dishes that are very quick to prepare and require little to no effort at all such as crockpot recipes, especially when I have no time or energy to cook.

However, it doesn’t mean that when food is done in haste it will taste bad, which is why I always make sure that the recipes I follow are proven to impress everyone. One of the most recent dishes I’ve tried is this casserole recipe by Gramma Rose’s Open Pantry on YouTube, it’s so good and scrumptious that the whole family kept asking me to make it more often.
Step 1
Slice the steak thinly across the grain, then season them with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce, and give them a good mix. Place a skillet on a stove over medium-high heat, then add the oil spreading it evenly to the sides, and heat it until smokey and hot.
Step 2
While waiting, preheat your oven to 350°F, then chop the onion and bell pepper, and whisk the egg into the heavy cream. In the very hot oil, add the seasoned steak, then cook it until nice and brown, make sure to remove the excess grease before you add the softened cream cheese, and mix them into the steak.
Step 3
In a separate pan, cook the onions and peppers for about 2 to 3 minutes or until translucent, then add them to the steak, give them a good mix until combined, and turn off the heat. Quickly whisk the egg and heavy cream mixture again, then pour it into the steak, and mix them until well combined.
Step 4
Add the cubed cheese, then mix them until melted and incorporated, grease the casserole nicely around the sides and bottom, and transfer the mixture to the casserole. Spread it evenly, then place the provolone cheese over the top, and allow the cheesesteak to bake for about 30 minutes until the cheese has melted.
