Step 1
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, then cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions, and drain off the excess water before setting it aside. Place a saucepan on a stove over medium heat, then melt the butter, and add the flour.
Step 2
Give them a good stir and cook until the flour taste is gone and the consistency has thickened, then pour in half and half, and keep whisking until smooth roux.
Step 3
Add the freshly shredded Pepper Jack cheese, then continue whisking until melted, and season the mixture with seasoning salt and garlic powder.
Step 4
Mix them until incorporated and then turn off the heat, then spread half of the macaroni to a baking dish, and top it with half of the cheese mixture.
Step 5
Sprinkle it with some shredded Pepper Jack cheese, then repeat the layers, and lightly mix them to combine. Place the baking dish in an oven preheated at 375°F, then let it bake for about 30 to 35 minutes, and serve. Enjoy!
