Step 2
Add the second egg and keep on whisking on a high speed until smooth and thick, then add the flour, and mix on a low speed until incorporated. Scrape the sides of the bowl and give it a final mix, then pour the batter into the prepared pan, and tap it gently on the surface to level it out. Put it in the preheated oven to bake for about 20 minutes, then transfer it to a wire cooling rack, and let it cool down while preparing the filling. At this point, increase the temperature of your oven to 350°F.
Step 3
In a mixing bowl, add the brown sugar, salt, vanilla, corn syrup, eggs, and melted salted butter, then give them a good mix, add the pecans, and keep mixing until evenly incorporated. Pour it over the brownie base, then spread it evenly, and gently tap it on the counter to level it out. Put the brownie back in the oven and bake for 1 hour until almost fully set, then let it cool down completely for about 30 minutes, and then cover it with plastic wrap. Put it in the fridge to chill, then lift the brownies out of the pan, and cut them into 2-inch squares. Serve and enjoy!
