In a season where peaches are easy to find, various recipes are also everywhere on the internet. However, the most delicious and easiest way to prepare them is by turning them into this delectable sweet treat by The Anthony Kitchen on YouTube.

Ingredients:

Crisp topping

  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, optional
  • ¾ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • Scant ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, room temperature, cut into ½” cubes

Peach filling

  • 1½ pound (about 3 – 3 ½ cups) sliced peaches
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • Juice of a lemon
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a 1½ to 2-quart capacity baking dish, you can use an 8×8″ baking dish or a small au gratin/casserole dish, and set it aside. In a large mixing bowl, add the brown sugar, flour, ground cinnamon, oats, and salt, then whisk them together until well combined. Cut the butter into smaller pieces, then scatter them across the top of the mixture, and start rubbing the butter into the flour mixture using your fingertips until it is well mixed and no longer appears dry. Set the crisp topping mixture aside.

Step 2

Grab a medium-sized mixing bowl, then add the peaches, sugar, cornstarch, salt, cinnamon, lemon juice, and vanilla, then stir them together until the peaches are evenly coated and all of the ingredients are evenly distributed. Pour the peach filling into the prepared dish, and sprinkle the crumble all over the top, then put this in the preheated oven. Let it bake for about 30 minutes or until the topping is a deep golden brown and the edges are bubbly.  Remove the crisp from the oven and allow it to cool for about 20 minutes, then serve, and enjoy!
