Cockroaches are harmful insects that can carry diseases and spread them when they crawl to your dishes and other surfaces. Getting rid of them is quite the challenge because although there are a lot of solutions that you can buy over the counter, they may not work the same for everyone or sometimes they are just too expensive. But don’t worry because there are still a lot of options that you can try without spending a lot of money, just like this cockroach trap by Mizta Shy on YouTube that teaches how to catch a lot of cockroaches using only a glass cup and a tape!

Materials:

  • 3M scotch tape
  • Glass cup
  • Apple juice
  • Scissors
  • Leftover food

Directions:

Step 1

Fill a glass cup halfway with apple juice, then place it in the area where there are a lot of cockroaches, and leave it overnight. When morning comes, you’ll see that you’ve managed to catch a lot of roaches and most of the apple juice is gone, make sure to throw out the drowned roaches immediately and replace them with a new ones. Be extra careful if you have kids at home that may mistakenly drink the content of the glass cup.

Step 2

To get rid of more cockroaches, set up a trap by the sink. At night, before you go to bed, make sure to leave the sink unclean to lure all of the cockroaches, then adhere the tape all around the sides of the sink making sure to expose most of the tape up, cover the drain, and leave some food at the center for bait. The cockroaches will try to get to the food at the bottom and middle of your sink but they will be caught by the tape and eventually die.
